About the event
Beth will teach your youngsters about a famous artist in history and their story, philosophy and aesthetic style will be the inspiration for the day's craft project. This class will be offered once every month (1st Sat of the month) featured artists change each month.
AUG 7TH
Yayoi Kusama- Acrylic Q- Tip Dot Painting
Project: Learn the background of why and how Kusama became the artist she is today.
Materials: Pencils, Q-Tips 1 pack should be fine (?), paint brushes, Medium size, Styrofoam
plates, acrylic paint: RYB, Neon Green, Magenta, Black and White, Canvas, 8x10” or whatever
is laying around.
We will draw on our shapes, and then paint the background. We will paint the first few layers of
the mushrooms, and then we can go ahead and paint the Q-Tip dots like Kusama.

spend a hour and half kid free to run your errands or just relax, but If you would rather stay for the class to help your child that's cool too..

Beth has a Bachelors of Fine Arts and Masters of Arts, She was awarded a Teaching Assistantship at MNSU during her grad program to teach her own section of Art100 at the college for 4 semesters. Her teaching experience also extends to teaching kids art classes in Austin MN at their Art Center from 2010 to present.
